The Leadership Institute at Allen Temple offers dynamic educational opportunities focused on preparing emerging and existing leaders to improve the quality of life in their communities.

Our programs provide a sociological understanding of community, principles of effective leadership, ethical and moral values, and an introduction to theological disciplines—all relevant to community development and social change.

Who Can Apply

We welcome a rich diversity of participants in our programs—from young adults to seniors, from all walks of life and experiences. Some have had limited educational opportunities, while others hold advanced degrees. 

This diversity creates a vibrant learning environment where all come together to dialogue, share, and learn.

Our programs are designed for:

  • Those called to ministry or community leadership
  • Individuals seeking to enhance their leadership skills
  • Community advocates looking for formal training
  • Those whose goal is to pursue an undergraduate degree
  • Working adults and bi-vocational leaders
We offer both in-person and remote learning options, serving students throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

Program Requirements

Certificate Program Enrollment

Completion of application form and payment of $20 application fee
A high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
Official transcripts from high school of graduation and all colleges or universities attended

Non-Certificate Status and Emerging Leaders Program Enrollment

Completion of application form and payment of $20 application fee
